The world sees through a fool's vow

From this moment on there is only me
I will shred all memories of you into wisps of nothingness
I will scroll through my contacts without remembering your name
I will watch movies feeling excited if there's only popcorn to keep me company
I will have dinner and be contented eating alone
I will sleep and be happy to have the whole bed to myself
I will look at the morning sky without thinking what's for our breakfast
I will gaze at the flying star and not make any happily ever after wishes
I will look at at my reflection and not see us

Because now there is no more you. And I am free.

The radio in my heart

Our past conversations are the channels that air at night before I fall asleep
And your voice is the perfect frequency, my midnight lullaby.

Tough luck

I woke up one morning and realized that I ran out of luck a long, long time ago. Now I'm just gonna push my way through with an empty, abandoned feeling. No more regret, no more blame. It's just between me and my ignorant determination to continue taking the walk ahead.

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas

What. A. Terrific. Read.

A story so simple yet powerfully engaging. It tells about the innocent friendship between two young boys developed over a fence, and how the Holocaust impacts their lives and that of their loved ones.

In the movie adaptation, the roles of Bruno and Shmuel are wonderfully played by newcomers Asa Butterfield and Jack Scanlon respectively.

We dream

When our dreams get the better of us
We find out who we are not
Scorn and misjudgment
Blight our perception
Blinding us from what really matters.

As long as we can still distinguish the real and the fake, we can go on dreaming.

The thing that is really bothering is that some of us never wake up in time
Staying trapped in our own abysmal oblivion.

Dawn Un-coloured

And when it finally hit us
The blow so strong we fall
Together with all that we've been holding onto
Into our own manic, mindless states
We ask - How?
Nothing comes without warning
This we always forget and let pass
Realization comes with desire
A habitual thing - to rewind and go back
Always to go back
But by now it should've dawned on us
That there are no shortcuts
No U-turns
For this we often weep
Silently or out loud
The tears still stain.
